Discover Nature Through Experience
At Kaingo, learning can extend from the classroom into the field. Programmes can be tailored to suit the age, interests and learning objectives of each group, combining practical activities with opportunities to explore the reserve and its natural environment.

From ecology, biodiversity and animal tracking to camera-trap studies, archaeology and heritage, students can engage with the natural world through observation, discussion and hands-on experiences. Specialist sessions and research-based activities can also be incorporated where appropriate.

Whether visiting for a short educational trip or a longer student programme, groups can develop a deeper appreciation of the environment through direct experience.
Spaces to Learn, Gather & Unwind
Facilities at the Eco Camp support group learning, shared meals and relaxation between activities.
Comfortable Spaces for Group Stays
Eco Camp has ten houses accommodating up to 40 guests in total. Each house offers a practical, self-contained living environment, with bedrooms, a kitchen, shared living space, bathrooms and a private outdoor area.

The houses give students a comfortable place to rest, spend time together and recharge between activities.

Learning in a Working Big Five Reserve
Eco Camp is situated within Kaingo Game Reserve, a working Big Five reserve in the Waterberg. This unique setting gives students the opportunity to learn within an active conservation environment, surrounded by the wildlife, landscapes and biodiversity they study.

Designed for school groups, university students and educational programmes, the camp provides a base for exploring the natural world through direct experience, guided activities and field-based learning.
